Set perfectly between the East gate of Algonquin Park and the Madawaska Valley, Barkwick Camp is the ideal home base for your vacation away from the big city. So, whether you want to be busy sightseeing or just relax at the water, we have it all.

Ontario is known for its outdoor sports, and year round fun is what Barkwick Camp is all about. We have some of the most exciting snowmobiling, ice climbing and ice fishing in the winter and some of the best boating, ATV riding, fishing and hunting in other seasons. Barkwick Camp is located where the Opeongo River and the Madawaska River meet as they flow with direct access into Bark Lake. With these three beautiful natural bodies of water, they have something for every angler and boater.

Our ATV trails have been called the best in Ontario and have riding for everyone from the novice to the advanced. With our multiple loops, you can put together any type of ride that you're ready for each day.

As we are right on “B” trail just 4 km east of Madawaska snowmobiling to and from Barkwick Camp is amazing. Whether you want to run many of our daily loops or stop in as you're doing RAP (Round Algonquin Park) our River View Suite (RVS) is the place to stay. The hot tub will feel amazing after a fun filled day of snowmobiling.
